What Grinder Is Best for Cold Brew?

If you are new to specialty coffee, I bet you have a coffee maker at home, but I'd also be willing to bet you don't have a good grinder.

Fresh beans are important, but if you don't have a grinder that will give you consistent size grounds, you'll have coffee thats under or over extracted. You don't want that.

There are 2 main types of grinders available on the market:

Pros Cons
Blade Grinder Cheap Grinds will be inconsistent sizes and result in under or over extracted coffee.
Burr Grinder

Consistent Grind Size

More Expensive

Moral of the story is, you want a burr grinder.

The second thing that's important for a cold brew is a course grinder. Certain grinders allow for a courser setting. Here are a couple great options.
